INSPECTIONS
WHEN DO I NEED AN
ENERGY CODE INSPECTION?
The International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) is the national model standard for all commercial and residential buildings. Effective November 1, 2016, the State of Texas adopted the 2015 IECC for all commercial and residential buildings greater than three stories. The majority of cities in Texas require a certified IECC inspector to perform these inspections. Due to limited resources and concerns about non-compliance, many cities have implemented third-party energy code inspection programs. GreenWorks is able to perform your energy inspection in a more cost-effective and efficient manner and provide the necessary forms your city needs.
